News and Notes

First of all, for those who missed it on Tuesday, I present the hilarious Waitress Girl moment from American Idol:

Wednesday's auditions from Boston were pretty standard fare. Mary J. Blige was the guest judge and she did a pretty job with good critiques and comments. The judges seemed to let a few questionable talents get through. It was highlighted by a guy who thought he could sing, but he was sadly mistaken. He got escorted out and then went on a curse filled tirade... Former NFL star Hershel Walker (who is now 47) is going to make his MMA fighting debut shortly for the Strikeforce promotion. Yesterday's Wrestling Observer update listed some notes about his training:

"He was on WFAN with Craig Carton and Boomer Esiason. He said he wakes up, has a can of soup and then does 1,500 situps. He said the last eight weeks of training in San Jose have been the most intense training of his life...he sleeps at most four hours per night, only eats one meal a day of salad, soup and bread, but drinks a lot of water".

In short, this (brother) is crazy... Prayers to the people of Haiti. R.I.P. Teddy Pendergrass.
