Disturbing

Desperate to replace Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus on the gossip sites, photos have surfaced of Hulk Hogan rubbing suntan lotion on his own daughter's behind (click here). CREEPY! Even Jessica Simpson's dad was probably thinking "Aw, hell naw!"

American Idol

Kind of a lackluster night on Idol. It was the songs of Neil Diamond and none of these fools even tried "Love On the Rocks"-- even I can sing that song well! Once again Dreadlocks just phoned it in and showed no emotion. He should have been cut five weeks ago. Brooke was bland. David Archelleta? I would rather hear Adam Archuleta of the Chicago Bears. David Cook was okay. For the second week in a row, I thought Syesha did the best. We'll see if the votes beat that out (they won't). I should have quit watching last week.

Of course, the highlight of the night was Paula reviewing one of the guy's second songs when he had only done one song at that point. Time for some rehab, baby girl. It's for your own good.

The Reviews Are In.....

It was a pretty big New Release Tuesday with new CDs by my favorite group The Roots, the icon Madonna, Lil' Mama, and Robyn. I got a chance to listen to "Rising Down" by The Roots and "Hard Candy" by Madonna. My thoughts:


I listened to this at work so of course I was a little distracted by the responsibilites of carrying the entire organization plus girls constantly making up excuses just to come over and talk to me. Lots of guests appearances and quality "grown man" hip-hop. I plan to listen again today in between American Idol discussion and donuts.


I also managed to listened to this CD while at work yesterday. Once again, I have to give Madonna props for wearing a wrestling title belt on the cover. Nice pictures in the booklet by the way. Fifty is the new thirty. Which means that I'm about 15. I think "Hard Candy" is a code for something else, but I can't quite figure it out. Anyway, the songs are a departure from the electronica of her last couple of CDs and are more pop/dance. Good stuff. Timbaland and The Neptunes are producers. Thus far, I think the best songs are "Beat Goes On" (with Kanye West) and "Spanish Lesson". I didn't see a deluxe version available; after all, what are us old folks going to do with Ipod skins and ringtones? Regardless, both CDs get the Hollywood Nation Seal of Approval. Enjoy!

Flavor of Love

We are in the home stretch. This week, it was meet the parents week. Why would they agree to be humiliated on this show? This led to Flav bringing his own mother on the show. They look so much alike that it's almost comical. You could put a viking helmet on her head and you couldn't tell the difference. In the end, it was Thing 2 that got sent home. She asked "why?". It was your grill, baby. Next week: Paris!

Miss Rap Supreme continued to roll along. How can a show that has appearances by Too $hort and Ghostface Killer not be great? In the end, Lioness got cut (again). Maybe this time it will stick.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

This week, the three older sisters got into a fight over something having to do with a car. I couldn't tell you what they were arguing about because they kept showing Kim FROM BEHIND(!). This is how you garner ratings. If I have not mentioned this before, that is quite a wagon. Anyway, they started insulting each other, leading Kim to call her sisters "ugly bitches". She ended up punching one of them. Then they went on vacation to make up. To be continued next week. I love this show.

And for you big booty aficionados, I read a report on the internet that Jennifer Lopez will soon be getting a reality show on the TLC network. This makes sense to revive her career since her movie and singing careers have seemingly dried up. I hope she has good writers that will make her look fun and sympathetic because this could go really badly. Ideally, the E! Network could get the rights to the show from TLC, run it right before The Kardashians and bill it as Big Ass Sunday night with J-Lo and Kim Kardashian back to back (pun intended). See, this is the kind of stuff that would routinely happen if I ran a network.

WWE Backlash Results

Results from last night's WWE Backlash pay-per-view show:

- Matt Hardy beat MVP for the U.S. Title
- Kane beat Chavo Guerrero to retain the ECW Title
- The Big Show beat The So-So Khali
- Shawn Michales beat Batista via the Superkick
- A bunch of broads beat a bunch of other broads
- Undertaker beat Edge, who was subsequently stretchered out
- Triple H over Hazelwood's own Randy Orton, John Cena, and JBL to become the new World Champion. This is what we've all been waiting for.
