Brooke Knows Best?

According to several outlets (and as was reported in the Wrestling Observer about two weeks ago) Hogan Knows Best will continue on VH-1 with one change-- the show will now focus on Brooke being on her own and trying to make it in the music industry. The name of the show might be changing to Brooke Knows Best. Good luck with carrying her own show. The show would have a better chance at success if they moved it to Cinemax at midnight, if she would be willing to take it off and if they moved in Shannon Tweed and Joan Severance as the wacky neighbors. In fact, that would actually be a damn good idea. In other reality/wrestling news, Chyna (fresh off of a stint on "Celebrity Rehab") allegedly has signed on to be part of a summer reality show on NBC called "Celebrity Circus", where celebs will train to be part of the circus. Seriously. And to think, this woman used to be the Intercontinental champion!

At Home With Mimi

Thanks to Architectural Digest, fans now get to take a look inside Mariah Carey's Manhattan triplex. Three floors and oddly enough, no wrestling posters. And just think: if you put together all of the money that I've spent on her CDs, DVDs, concert tickets, etc., I probably bought that ottoman on page 7!

American Idol: The Final 12-- Finally!

It seems like it took forever but we are finally down to the final 12 on Idol. It was a decent week with a bunch of elements including 80's songs, a male stripper scandal, an obscene You Tube video, a performance from last year's runner-up (confirming why he didn't win), and Paula in mid-season annoying form. In the end, the two guys who got cut were no surprise (Luke and Danny) but I was shocked to see Asia'H leave on the girls side. How many times do I have to tell these people to stay away from the Whitney Houston songs? Only good things can happen when you listen to me. I'm looking forward to the real show starting next week.

Flavor of Love

Another thrilling episode of Flavor of Love this week. This time the girls were split into two teams and had to do a roast of someone on the other team. Some of it was funny; some of it had the crickets working overtime. In the end, Shy won and had the "privilege" of going on a solo date with Flav. It was revealed in this episode that she had an unfortunate case of dragon breath (special note: gum--it's available at every Target store in the nation). After that, some other stuff happened, a quack doctor showed up, Flav took a bath with the appropriately named Thing 1 and 2, I threw up into a small sack, someone brought in pigs feet, the elimination ceremony took place, somebody left, and I moved on to Monday Night Raw. Next week, more manufactured drama!

My Worlds Are Colliding-- Again

It's always uncomfortable when my entertainment worlds cross over, but it looks like we are headed towards another collision. According to today's USA Today, the one and only Kim Kardashian is slated to appear at WrestleMania on March 30th as a "guest hostess". Lord knows what that will involve. Since this is the biggest wrestling event of the year, I think it presents a tremendous opportunity for Kim to branch out and... OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THAT EGG MCMUFFIN! Good grief!

(According to Blogger's calculations, this is my 400th post-- and apparently 375 of them were about Kim Kardashian's ass. Anyhow, congratulations to the entire staff of The Nation).

Rock Of Love

Another great episode. This time for some reason they decided to have the girls put on a "USO-type" show for military veterans. Nothing good could come from this. And it didn't. It led to some awful dancing, bad singing, and butchering of the national anthem. The highlight was two of the girls panicking and reverting back to their stripper roots during their routine and just taking it all off. The vets' eyes got wide like two fried eggs after seeing those gigantic asses on the stage. It was all so awkward. In the end, two girls who had done a hoola hoop routine won. I couldn't even believe this all happened. Then there was arguing and more Kristy Joe/"Is she here for me or for TV time?" drama. Somehow she was not cut again this week. The giant Inna was sent packing instead, mainly for arguing with an old USO lady. We can't have that. More importantly, my girl Ambre got the first pass at the elimination ceremony! Congrats! Next week-- mo' drama and ridiculousness!

Creepin'

The Hogan divorce situation took another turn last week when it was revealed that the the beloved former wrestling champion had an affair while he was married-- with a 33 year old friend of his daughter Brooke, no less. According to the National Enquirer, Christiane Plante told them:

"My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending. She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed. Terry is a good man, good father, and a good friend, and he and I grew close at a time when he was going through a very difficult period. It seemed right then, but I know it was wrong. Having felt the guilt and pain build up, I gave a note to Brooke apologizing for my actions. I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend.”

Oh, you dirty dawg. There he goes, trying to keep up with Ric Flair again.
