Stacy Update

Good news for former WWE Diva and my favorite Dancing with the Stars contestant of all-time, Stacy Keibler. According to zap2it.com:

"The former wrestler has joined the upcoming series "Samurai Girl," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Samurai Girl," based on the popular young adult novels, centers on 19-year-old Heaven (Jamie Chung), a Japanese girl who learns that her adoptive father is the head of the Yakuza and possibly had her brother murdered. She leaves her family to train in the ways of the samurai and to plot against her father's evil empire with the help of her new American friends.

Keibler will portray Heaven's rival and the ex-fiancee of Jake (Brendan Fehr), Heaven's love interest. "Samurai Girl," a six-hour special event premiering on Sept. 5, also stars Saige Thompson, Kyle Labine, Anthony Brandon Wong, Steven Brand and Keneth Choi."

However, I am sorry to report that this show will be on the ABC Family Channel and unfortunately not Showtime After Hours. Damn.

You Don't Mess With The Zohan

Until this weekend, I hadn't seen an Adam Sandler movie since The Wedding Singer, but on Saturday I caught his latest flick, You Don't Mess with the Zohan. And if you can get past the sight of seeing his bare ass in the first few minutes, it's actually a pretty funny movie. The list of oddball cameos include Chris Rock, The Fonz, Mrs. Garrett from The Fact of Life, and even Mariah Carey (who plays herself). She sang the national anthem in the pivotal Hackey Sack tournament scene. Believe it or not, she was actually funny-- and unlike Glitter, it was intentional this time. The lead villians were played by Rob Schnieder, Michael Buffer (yes, Mr. Let's Get Ready To Rumble) and Dave Matthews of all people, who was pretty damn funny playing a racist redneck. So if you are looking for a fun, mindless comedy with a lot of laughs, you will probably enjoy this. Hollywood Nation gives this movie two snaps up.

TNA Slammiversary Results

Results from last night's TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view show, held outside of Memphis, TN:

- In the opener, Petey Williams beat Kaz (with same help from Scott Steiner and Rhaka Khan). Abyss returned to save Kaz from a post-match beating. Good opener.

- Gail Kim, ODB, and Roxxi beat The Beautiful People and Moose.

- LAX beat Team 3D.

- Awesome Kong issued the $25,000 challenge and beat up two women out of the crowd. Brutal! Eric Young brought out an Elvis imitator and Kong destroyed him too.

- The wedding between Jay Lethal and So Cal Val was a fiasco. Predictibly, Sonjay Dutt declared his love for So Cal Val and stopped the wedding. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Koko B. Ware, Kamala and George "The Animal" Steele were all there in tuxedos and beat up Dutt afterwards. Lame.

- A.J. Styles pinned Kurt Angle clean in a good match. A.J. got beat up by Angle and Tomko afterwards.

- Samoa Joe won the King of the Mountain match over Booker T, Christian Cage, Rhino and Robert Roode. Kevin Nash didn't turn against Joe.

- Decent show.

Real World: Hollywood

Even though I didn't actually see it, I heard that Greg got the boot on this week's episode of the Real World. Now who are we going to hate on the show? Well, besides every other cast member. Good luck to Greg in his pursuit of vying to be the world's most annoying off-camera person now.

Howard Stern's Bowling Beauties

The third edition of Howard Stern's Bowling Beauties was just posted today. Unfortunately, Hollywood Nation's beloved Leticia Cline was eliminated this round by a broad not nearly as hot. But on the flip side, three of the other girls on the show bowled topless. The thrilling conclusion is scheduled for June 12th. Now can we please bring Leticia back to TNA Wrestling so she can feud with The Beautiful People?
