It was Sixties Night last night on American Idol, as the final 12 guys battled it out. Although we were assured that this was the best crop of contestants ever, most of the guys were lackluster or forgettable. A heard a couple of good ones, including early favorite (and former Star Search winner) David Archelleta, who was good but his boyish charm act is wearing thin on me already. I wasn't as enamoured with Dreadlock Guy as the judges were. The black guy could have done himself a favor by not wearing a bright red pimp suit. How did Son of Leif Garrett even make the cut? Get this kid to a barber. The skinny guy who did the Elvis song is about four weeks away from breaking out the bandanas and a fauxhawk. I hope the girls do better tonight.
