Dancing with the Stars is back and thankfully it is Palin-free this season. I didn't think anyone was just absolutely terrible (although Wendy Williams and the radio guy that no one knows were coming awfully close). Standouts included the Karate Kid (I can't believe he's 49) and thick ass Kirstie Allie. I liked Kendra's practice session better because she was doing the stripper dances. Of course the centerpiece of the show was WWE Superstar Chris Jericho. Sure he got robbed by getting two sixes instead of his deserved sevens, but it's early and they are judging low. He didn't do too bad but there is room for improvement. I'm just hoping he doesn't get voted off first like on Celebrity Duets.

Dancing With The Stars

I've been following most of Dancing with the Stars this season (although I usually tune out when 24 comes on). However last night my last remaining favorite, Lil Kim, got voted off, which leaves four people left that I've never heard of. Well, I'm out! Let me know who wins (like it matters now).

Dancing With The Stars
I'm so pissed! The first one gone from this season of Dancing with the Stars unfortunately was one of my favorites, Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Gos. My favorites always get kicked off early. Sure she was kinda lame, but they could have cut her some slack. After all, us fans know dancing was never her strong suit, as witnessed by the clip below:

Dancing With The Stars Debut

The latest season of Dancing with the Stars debuted last night on ABC. It was kind of lame (I missed most of the second hour due to watching 24) but there was some nice eye candy. Lil' Kim looked good (despite the Michael Jackson-ish face work), Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Go's held up well (nice rack), and Denise Richards was hot. As for a winner, I think the Bachelor reject girl is going to pull off the upset. Should be a fun season.

Dancing With The Stars Lineup Announced
Last night, ABC announced the contestants for the next season of Dancing with the Stars. The wacky lineup includes rapper Lil' Kim, Belinda Carlisle of The Go-Gos, actor David Alan Grier, singer Jewel, NFL Hall of Famer/WrestleMania main eventer Lawrence Taylor, Steve-O of Jackass, Denise Richards (!), TV host Nancy O'Dell, and the requisite three or four people that I've never heard of in my life. Pheeeeee-nominal. I can't wait!. The new season starts March 9th.(Photo from abc.com)

Toni Braxton Booted from DWTS

Say it ain't so! First, Kim Kardashian-- now Toni Braxton is gone! My dream finale has been shattered! Both of those dime pieces are gone but Cloris Leachman is still there! Have these producers ever heard of rigging the voting? Does anyone care about ratings anymore? I guess now I'll have to support Warren Sapp, the track guy or Brooke Burke.

Dancing With The Stars Shocker

Oh hellz no! I knew Kim Kardashian wasn't going to make it to the finals, but I didn't expect her to get cut this early! Before CLORIS LEACHMAN? Are you serious? Why not Rocco? Why not the awkward looking volleyball broad? I will never understand these voters. And on top of that, we had to suffer through TWO wretched Jessica Simpson performances. Just a brutal night. At least I still have Toni Braxton to pin my hopes on.
Dancing With The Stars
It was kind of a lackluster week on Dancing with the Stars. I think I can officially say goodbye to my Toni Braxton/Kim Kardashian showdown because Kim is dreadful. As Chris Rock said on Larry King Thursday "all that ass and can't shake it". It's starting to shape up as a Brooke Burke/Toni Braxton/Warren Sapp footrace. Tonight I think it will be either Cloris Leachman or Rocco the Chef going home. The Jessica Simpson performance should be fun.Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Dancing With The Stars
Last night was the finals of Dancing with the Stars and it was all about Scary Spice (although in fairness, Race Car Guy did okay also). She did two solid routines and got the highest scores from the judges. Best of all, the Spice Girls were in the audience! Royalty! Yes, even Baby Spice was there! This was even better than last year when half of the 90210 cast showed up to support Steve Sanders. Marie Osmond did a goofy dance where she was supposed to be doll, which flopped miserably. It was just bad enough to leave this show's credibility in tatters when she actually wins this thing tonight.

Dancing with the Stars
Great edition of Dancing with the Stars last night. Of course it was highlighted by an appearance by the Spice Girls. Who doesn't love them? I can't even choose a favorite. All of them are about 50 years old now and still adorable. Oh yeah, there was dancing too. They can send the race car guy home and they can send Marie, Donny, Jimmy and the rest of them home while they are at it. It's all about Kelly Taylor and Scary Spice. Let them battle it out next week in the finals. Unfortunately, I'm not running this thing so I think we might see a slightly different result tonight.

Dancing With The Stars Results
This week it was Soap Opera Guy (above) who was sent packing. Unfortunately, that means Edyta is leaving also. Conspiracy Theory: The last two weeks, the first one who was revealed as being safe has been Marie Osmond. Also, they haven't revealed a bottom two for the last two weeks. My theory is that Marie has been in the bottom two the last two weeks but they didn't want her to go through the stress with her father dying last week. Regardless, we are now down to four (Marie, Kelly from 90210, Scary and Race Car Guy) with two weeks left. My money is still on Scary.

Dancing With The Stars Results
We had to say a sad goodbye this week to Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, who had pretty much coasted since Week One. On the heels of our thick friend from The Cheetah Girls leaving last week, I would have hated to see Scary Spice (above), Kelly or Edyta leave this week. The judging was still as inconsistent as ever, but luckily the viewers votes came out the right way. I'm calling my shot now and predicting a Scary Spice victory. Norbit must be going nuts because she is still on the show.

Dancing With The Stars Results
Finally, Wayne Newton got sent home. It was between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr., who was about twenty times better than Wayne. As usual, the scoring is totally screwed on this show. How did Wayne barely move and get all sixes from the judges but Floyd did rather well and only got sevens? The scoring is so inconsistent every year. Wayne actually did not move for about 3/4ths of the dance. Would someone on the show please acknowledge this?
Also, it's Scary Spice's world and we just live in it.

Dancing With The Stars Results
I'm just glad that the show is down to only two nights a week again. This week it was clear that most of the contestants are evenly matched, as it seemed that just about everyone got all sevens from the judges. The frontrunner still seems to be the young lady from the Cheetah Girls. Oh yes, the fix is in with Disney. This week some guy named Albert Reed got sent backing, just slightly edging out the guy in the Wayne Newton mask (above), who is this years' sentimental aging guy who traditionally stays in the competition for about three weeks too long.
