The competition has begun. The final 12 took to the stage to start the real portion of this show. There was a new set this year and it looked impressive. In a mild shock, Paula was even coherent on this evening. This week, the contestants were handcuffed by the heavily hyped Lennon/McCartney songbook. Most faltered. In a surprise, I actually thought that Chikezie's quirkly performance was the best of the night. For the most part, the rest kind of faltered or were forgettable, including show favorite David Archeletta, who derailed by singing off-key and forgetting the words. It should be Kristy Lee Cook who is leaving this week, after doing a horrendous country song.
