On Top of the World

He's the number one man in our sport again. At Sunday night's Armaggedeon pay-per-view show, the one and only Edge (above) ran through Batista and The Undertaker to become the World Champion once again. Rejoice amongst yourselves!

Congratulations

Props to TNA Wrestling for finally putting a fresh face in a World Title match. Last night on Impact, Kurt Angle defended (and retained) the World Title against Frankie "Kaz" Kazarian (above, who my boy Heavy Lunch said looks like a cross between Antonio Banderas and the evil karate instructor from Karate Kid 3). Kaz did a great job in his most high profile match to date and held up his end of the match against one of the top stars in the business. See, they finally pushed a new guy and it was a good match, the fans were into it, the ratings didn't crash (probably) and no one got hurt. No harm done! Maybe this will be the new trend. Also, it was refreshing to not see Angle and his wife arguing for twenty segments on the show. Are these people ever happy?

New Champion Crowned

At tonight's WWE No Mercy PPV in Chicago, as the show opened Mr. McMahon awarded the Raw World Title to Hazelwood's own Randy Orton. Within 20 minutes he lost it to "The Son-In-Law" Triple H. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! (And to top it off, he later squashed top challenger Umaga in a short match). Oh yes, it's a whole new era in WWE!

UPDATE: After a third World title match on the show, Orton beat Triple H to regain the title that he had lost about two hours before. Exhausting.

Going Back To Khali

The Great Khali was crowned as the new World Champion tonight in Laredo, Texas after winning a 20-Man Battle Royal at the WWE Smackdown tapings. Something tells me that we are on the verge of some very thrilling title matches.

Khali's victory came about because Edge had to vacate the title after suffering a torn pec during his brawl with Kane on last week's Smackdown. He will be out for an undisclosed amount of time. The staff of Hollywood Nation wishes him a speedy recovery.

This Just In: Edge Still Champ of the World!

Word out of Stamford, CT is that Edge is still the World Champion. I will report more information as it becomes available. This was not just a gratuitous post to see a picture of Lita's rack. Now stop staring, you pervert.
