Weekend Wrap-Up

I have a new favorite show. I was flipping channels the other night and I stumbled across something on the Fox Reality Channel called Battle of the Bods. I don't know how long this thing has been on or what schedule it's on (it appears to be in reruns) but I'm just happy that I found this gem. It's perhaps the trashiest reality show I've ever seen-- and I love it. The premise is that three guys judge a panel of five skan...er...ladies and rank them from one to five, according to who is best looking, who has the best body part, and who is best overall. Meanwhile if the girls can arrange themselves in the correct order that the guys pick them, they will win cash. Much cattiness ensues and much of it is provided by the sassy-ass British host lady. It's a half hour of bliss. I found a clip below:

I see that NBC has officially pulled The Jay Leno Show from prime time. They are planning to move him back to late night, perhaps for a half hour show followed by Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon. Yeah, that's gonna happen peacefully. It's about to get ugly. Conan will probably bolt. Rumor has it that the dog puppet will stay with NBC though... I caught the new episode of the Jacksons reality show on A&E tonight. More studio squabbling. That's what the show is based on. I wish they would just answer the two burning questions: 1) what the hell is wrong with Jermaine's hair? and 2) why does his skin look like he's been wrestling in Puerto Rico for the last 20 years?

News and Notes

What's up with Mimi getting drunk at awards shows this week? It happened twice this week. That shit ain't cute! Mix in an AA meeting. Nick Cannon: get your woman in check. Here are the clips:

Have you seen the new Domino's Pizza commercials where they talk about changing the recipe? I love how they act like they just found out that the crust tastes like cardboard and the sauce is like ketchup-- like that was a well-kept secret!... I enjoyed the season premiere of Celebrity Rehab last night. There is always one celeb each season who is in denial that they should be there; this year it is Dennis Rodman, who will apparently be on ANY reality show with the word "Celebrity" any it. Regardless, it's a good, desperate cast this season. Great job, VH-1!

News and Notes

In honor of Lady Gaga gracing my hometown today (I should have gone to the show!), I present to you the following clip; just two broads on top of the industry having fun shooting a music video:

Did I mention I love that video?... Turns out that Angelina Love of The Beautiful People returns on next Thursday's Impact. Looks like someone is turning face... The first hook-up of the season took place on last night's Real World and it is only the second week. You used to have to wait three months for stuff like this. In the early seasons of The Real World, could you even imagine them showing an interracial couple? They would have pixalated it. According to the previews, it looks like the relationship is already on the rocks though in week three. Who would have guessed? The highlight of last night's show was the nerdy guy bringing back some girl from a bar who was the living definition of the word "skank"... For some great commentary on Monday's big wrestling showdown, catch the one and only Jim Cornette's thoughts right here. This guy is always on point.

News and Notes

I haven't seen all of the episodes this season, but I am loving Bad Girls Club (on the Oxygen network) so far. This show has it all: skanks, fighting, cattiness, girls with big booties and a girl that astoundingly looks like Jay Leno. They even have a throwback phone just like mine, except theirs is pink (mine is more of a lavendar). I haven't seen a bonafide babe like last season's Sarah, but the show is moving so fast that I haven't had a good look... The ratings are in and it looks like a big success for both Raw and Impact. Raw won the night and had its biggest ratings since the summer. Impact had its highest ratings EVER. Looks like we could be headed back to the new Monday Night War. Here we go!

Monday Night War 2010

What a night. It was just like the old days; switching back and forth between the nWo and Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. It was incredible to see The Hitman and The Heartbreak Kid shake hands and hug. That was perhaps my favorite moment of the night. I also enjoyed seeing the surprise debut of Jeff Hardy in the Impact Zone, Ric Flair's return, the Hogan/nWo segment, The Pope, the Vince/Bret angle and the Kurt Angle vs. A.J. Styles match. Things I could have done without: Val Venis, Orlando Jordan, The Nasty Boys, Bubba The Love Sponge, dudes laid out in the back and midget "humor". I have to give the night to TNA, but the big question: can they follow it up? I can't wait to see the ratings... By the way, they already have Hogan merchandise on sale at tnawrestling.com. Check out the new Hogan shirt below:

News and Notes

The NFL regular season has ended and my beloved St. Louis Rams finished 1-16, which is good enough for the number one draft pick. Take that, you foolish teams winning games; we pick FIRST!!! Where do we need help? Everywhere. Watch us get a punter... Looking forward to the playoffs. I'll miss the NFL Ticket on Direct TV, but I'm glad it's off my bill... First it was the Sham-Wow, then it was the Snuggie, now this. Can't wait to see this thing at the Walgreen check-out aisle... I caught VH-1's Frank the Entertainer series premiere tonight (where an I Love New York alum tries to find love while living in his parent's basement). Good show, I think it's a keeper. This is the first offering from VH-1 to hook me since the whole Megan Wants a Millionaire fiasco... I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's head to head battle between Monday Night Raw and Impact, the return of Bret "The Hitman" Hart vs. the return of Hulk Hogan. I predict a Raw ratings win and I think Impact will do what it normally does on Thursdays. Should be a fun night regardless.

This Just In...

According to a report at wrestlingobserver.com, one of my favorites, Angelina Love of the Beautiful People (above left) has re-signed with TNA Wrestling and could debut as soon as the Monday extravaganza. It's a celebration, bitches! Ha ha! This is going to be the best year ever!
